I sometimes get asked, what are the best attractions at Bondi...

hmm, so many attractions, its not an easy answer so I've decided to compile a list of what I think tourists and resident's can do when in Bondi.

so here it goes

  • Learn to Surf

I cant think of a better place to learn how to surf, home of the world's first Surf Life Saving Club. There are a number of local surf schools that will help you catch your first waves. Surfing is one of the major attractions for most visitors to Australia. The memories will live long in the memory after a surf at Bondi.

  • Visit The Bondi Markets

Take a stroll around the Bondi Markets open every Sunday in the grounds of Bondi Beach Public School. Shoppers will be able to pick up a bargain here, look out for some up and coming designers or pick up some arts and crafts ranging from didgeridoo's to oil canvas paintings and many other attractions, it's a great way to spend a few hours on a Sunday.

  • Bondi To Bronte Coastal Walk

Enjoy the spectacular views of this coastal walk. It is approximately 3.5 KM. This is a great way to spend a couple of hours, you will pass Tamarama Beach along the way where you can stop off for some refreshments. The walk begins at the South end of the beach, then make your way up past Bondi Icebergs located on Notts Avenue.

Bondi to Coogee Walk An Interesting rock along the route.

  • Have a Coffee

If you enjoy coffee there are plenty of cafes in Bondi serving up a great mocha, latte or herbal teas depending on your taste. Enjoy a relaxing break watching the runners, skate boarders and rollerbladers' by stopping for a beverage at the Pavilion. Hall St is definitely worth a mention, it has lots of cool cafes were you can experience the real vibe of Bondi, relax and soak up the atmosphere.

  • Go Shopping

There are a lot of shops in Bondi ranging from expensive Boutiques to shops selling the more popular brands like diesel and lee. Check out some of the shops on Gould Street that sell top Australian Designer Labels like Sass and Bide. Bondi has not moved away from the culture that made it so famous still maintaining a good spread of surf shops were shoppers can pick up all the latest Rip Curl, O'Neill clothing and accessories lines and the equipment needed to catch you next big wave. Don't forget to check out the Bondi Markets held every Sunday at Bond Public school. Also worth a mention is the new Westfield Superstore located at Oxford Street in Bondi Junction, whatever you are looking for you should be able to find it here.

  • Go for a Swim

Surely one of the major attractions of Bondi is the Beach and the Ocean and if that's why you are visiting a swim in the ocean is a must. However, like most of Sydney's and Australian Beaches it can be subject to Dangerous rips but if you stick to these guidelines you should be fine. Another alternative is a Swim at the Bondi Icebergs outdoor Ocean Pool which is also the worlds only Licensed Swimming Club. If you competitive check out these swimming events.

  • Have a Drink in one of the Hotels

If you dont want to exert yourself too much why not have a drink in one of the Hotels in the vicinity. Stop off at the Bondi Hotel and take it easy. My favourite though is the 'Beach Road Hotel' known as 'The Regis' by the locals. It is a more lively establishment with Wednesday night being the biggest night, revelers come from all over Sydney to dance the night away.
